Michter's US★1 Barrel Strength Sour Mash is the barrel-strength version of Michter's Sour Mash Whiskey, a Kentucky whiskey whose grain recipe falls between a bourbon and a rye, so it is neither. It's a limited release (the 2026 edition averaged 111.5 proof); Michter's describes cherry, plum and cocoa with balanced spice and a honeyed, dessert-like sweetness.
